本作は、アクリルを用いて板の上に描かれた「宇宙論～曼荼羅」シリーズの代表作です。100号（162 × 130.3cm）の大画面には、無限に展開する細部と、中心へ収束する強いエネルギーが同時に表現されています。
Artwork Description
Created in 2009, this is a representative work from the “Cosmology – Mandala” series.
Within the monumental 100-size scale, infinite details coexist with a powerful convergence of energy toward the center.
堅牢な板支持体により、色彩と構造は明確な緊張感を帯び、画面全体には揺るぎない秩序が刻まれています。
点描や線の集積は、星雲の生成や意識の拡張を想起させ、観る者の視線を自然と中心へ導きます。
Working on a solid wood panel gives the composition structural clarity and tension.
The accumulation of dots and lines evokes cosmic formation and guides the viewer’s awareness inward.
本作に通底する宇宙観は、作家の表現の原点と深く結びついています。
1964年、甲斐哲哉は世界初のボディペインティングを発表し、その革新的な試みは米国の世界的写真誌 LIFE に特集され、国際的な評価を確立しました。
The cosmological vision of this work is rooted in the artist’s origins.
In 1964, Kai pioneered the world’s first Body Painting and was featured in LIFE magazine (USA), establishing international recognition.
前衛的な身体表現を起点に、表現は「曼荼羅」「宇宙論」へと深化していきます。
