蕨(わらび)を象った若草色の楽焼の蓋置です。
茶釜や鉄瓶、土瓶の蓋や柄杓を置く茶道具です。
茶の湯では三本爪の蓋置は、蓋や柄杓を置く際には輪を上に、爪を下にして置きます。
棚に飾る際は爪を上に輪を下に置きます。
置物や文鎮としてもどうぞ。
炭や薪を使っての焼成の際、灰が被ったり焦げが入る変色等がありますが、景色（器の表情）としてご理解ください。

This is a "Warabi" (bracken fern) tripod lid rest, crafted in the "Raku" ware style with a vibrant young-grass green glaze. In the Japanese tea ceremony, a lid rest ("Futaoki") is a traditional utensil used to hold the lid of a tea kettle, iron kettle, or clay teapot, as well as the bamboo ladle.
For a tripod lid rest with three claws/legs, the traditional etiquette dictates its orientation based on use:
- When using it to hold a lid or ladle, place it with the ring-side facing up and the claws facing down.
- When displaying it as a decorative utensil on a shelf, place it with the claws facing up and the ring-side facing down.
It is also beautifully suited to be used as a decorative ornament or a paperweight in your room.
During the firing process using charcoal or firewood, the piece may develop natural color variations, ash deposits, or scorch marks. Please appreciate these unique characteristics as part of the piece's individual personality and artistic landscape.
