[ RAKU WARE ROUND BARROW SHAPE WATER BOWL (SUIBAN) ] This is a unique Raku ware water bowl (Suiban) finished in a beautiful blue-green glaze, designed in the motif of a "Enfun" (round barrow / tumulus) from the historic Kofun period of ancient Japan. While keyhole-shaped tombs are famous, round tombs are actually the most common across Japan. It can be appreciated simply by filling it with water, or used for traditional flower arrangements (Ikebana), floating small flowers, and aquatic plants. It also works beautifully as a quiet decorative object for your space.
