蓋置 円面硯①　"Futaoki" (Lid Rest) - "Emmen-ken" (Ancient Circular Inkstone Style)

ご覧いただきありがとうございます。 須恵器（すえき）」の円形硯（えんめんけん）をモチーフに、茶の湯で用いられる蓋置に見立てました。 茶釜や鉄瓶、土瓶の蓋や柄杓を置く茶道具です。 円面硯 とは、須恵器で作られた特徴的な円形の硯のことで、主に古墳時代後期から奈良・平安時代（およそ6世紀〜12世紀）にかけて使用されていました。 置物や文鎮としてもどうぞ。 炭や薪を使っての焼成の際、灰が被ったり焦げが入る変色等がありますが、景色（器の表情）としてご理解ください。 Thank you for visiting my shop. This piece is a creative interpretation of an ancient "Emmen-ken" (circular inkstone) crafted in the "Sueki" style (ancient Japanese gray stoneware), re-imagined here as a "Futaoki" (lid rest) for the Japanese tea ceremony, a lid rest ("Futaoki") is a traditional utensil used to hold the lid of a tea kettle, iron kettle, or clay teapot, as well as the bamboo ladle. An "Emmen-ken" is a distinctive circular inkstone made of "Sueki" stoneware that was used in ancient Japan. Primarily utilized as a tool for grinding ink, it was predominantly used from the late Kofun period through the Nara and Heian periods (approx. 6th to 12th century). This uniquely shaped lid rest is also beautifully suited to be displayed as a decorative ornament or a paperweight in your room. During the firing process using charcoal or firewood, the piece may develop natural color variations, ash deposits, or scorch marks.
