This is a Japanese calligraphy piece of an old poem.
"I heard a cuckoo singing, so I went to see it, only to find the early morning moon out in the sky."
This is a poem written by the Minister of the Left, Gotokudaiji, in the 12th century. He excelled in poetry and playing musical instruments, and maintained his position as a minister during a time when his clan was on the decline.
Proceeds will be used to run a private school for children where I teach Japanese calligraphy and mathematics.
