喜撰法師
わが庵は 都のたつみ しかぞすむ 世をうぢ山と 人はいふなり
きせんほうし
わがいほは みやこのたつみ しかぞすむ よをうぢやまと ひとはいふなり

私の庵は都の東南にあって、
このように（平穏に）暮らしているというのに、
世を憂いて逃れ住んでいる宇治（憂し）山だと、
世の人は言っているようだ
Although my hermitage is located in the southeast of the capital and I live in peace and comfortably, the people seem to think that I’m in a melancholy attitude to the mundane world and flee to Mt. Uji located in the east.
Melancholy is “Ushi (Uji)” in Japanese.
