■ k.fabric 輪（りん）について k.fabric 輪（りん）では、中古の着物や帯をほどいてできた布を使って、アップサイクル商品を作ったり、解いた布やハギレの販売を行っています。 この活動は、障がいのある方が働く福祉施設（障害者就労支援事業所）と一緒に取り組んでいます。 「輪」が企画や販売を担当し、寄付の受け入れや布をほどく作業、縫製作業などを、福祉施設の皆さんと協力して行っています。 使っている着物や帯は、こうした福祉施設にご寄付いただいたものです。たくさんの方の想いがつまった素材を、大切に新しい形へと生まれ変わらせています。 ■ 素材について 使用している着物や帯は、どれも長い年月を経てきたものばかり。中には何十年も前のものもあります。 作品づくりの前に、ていねいにほどいて、手洗いし、アイロンをかけてから使用しています。 この時点で、布が裂けてしまったり、色落ちが激しいものは、雑貨などへの再利用に回しています。 ただし、古いものですので、しみや汚れ、小さな穴などが残っている場合があります。できる限りきれいな部分を使っていますが、見落としがあるかもしれません。 あらかじめ「古布」であることをご理解の上、ご購入いただけますと幸いです。 素材には絹、綿、麻、ウール、ポリエステルなどがあります。 中でも絹はとても繊細なので、お取り扱いにはご注意ください。 ■ 絹素材についてのご注意 ● 色落ちについて 絹は水に弱く、水に濡れると色落ちや色移りが起きることがあります。特に濃い色の布は、淡い色のものと一緒に洗わないようお気をつけください。 ● においについて すべての布は洗ってから使用していますが、まれににおいが気になる場合があります。そんなときは、日の当たらない風通しの良い場所で、数日ほど陰干ししてみてください。においはずいぶん軽くなります。 ● お手入れ方法 ふだんのお手入れは陰干しがおすすめです。 ご自分で洗う場合は、水でやさしく押し洗いして、半乾きの状態で軽くアイロンをかけると良いですよ。 絹はこまめに洗う素材ではありませんので、特に汚れが気にならなければ、シーズンに1回程度のケアで十分です。 クリーニングに出す場合は、絹や古布に詳しいお店に相談されるのが安心です。 ■ すべて手作業です *k.fabric 輪（りん）*の商品は、すべて一つひとつ手作業で作られています。 同じ布を使っていても、色柄の出方や組み合わせが少しずつ違うので、どれも世界にひとつだけの作品です。 手しごとのあたたかみと、布に込められた物語を楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。 ■ About *k.fabric Rin* At k.fabric Rin, we create upcycled items using fabric from vintage kimono and obi that have been carefully taken apart. We also offer these beautiful reclaimed fabrics and fabric scraps for sale, so others can enjoy creating with them too. This project is a collaboration with **support facilities for people with disabilities** in Japan—places where individuals with disabilities work while receiving the support they need. At *Rin*, we handle the planning and sales, while the fabric donations, unpicking, and sewing are all done in cooperation with these wonderful facilities. The kimono and obi we use are all generously donated to these facilities. We treat every piece with care, knowing that each has a story and a history behind it. ■ About the Materials Since we use donated kimono and obi, many of the fabrics are quite old—some may be several decades old. Before turning them into products, we gently take them apart by hand, wash them carefully, and press them with an iron. If a piece of fabric is too fragile, has heavy color fading, or becomes torn during preparation, we set it aside for use in smaller craft items. Please note that because these are vintage materials, they may still have some small stains, marks, or tiny holes from the unpicking process. We do our best to select the best parts of each fabric, but some imperfections may remain. We kindly ask for your understanding and appreciation of the nature of working with old, reused textiles. We use various materials such as silk, cotton, linen, wool, and polyester. Silk, in particular, is very delicate and requires special care. ■ A Few Notes About Silk ● Color Bleeding Silk is sensitive to water and may bleed or transfer color, especially when wet. Please be careful, particularly with dark-colored fabrics. Avoid washing them with light colors. ● Odor All fabrics are washed before use, but occasionally you might notice a light vintage scent—especially with silk. If that happens, we recommend **airing the item in a shaded, breezy spot for a few days**. This usually helps reduce the odor significantly. ● Care Instructions For regular care, we recommend simply airing your item in the shade. If you need to wash it, gently hand-wash with water (no rubbing), and lightly press it with an iron while it’s still slightly damp. Silk doesn’t need to be washed often—once per season is usually enough, unless it’s particularly soiled. If you prefer professional cleaning, please consult a cleaner who specializes in silk or vintage fabrics. ■ Everything is Handmade All of our items are **handmade one by one**, so even if the same fabric is used, the combination of patterns and colors will be slightly different.
