【作品について / About the Work】 ​江戸時代に刊行された世界最古の折り紙の専門書『秘傳千羽鶴折形』の技術を使い、現代的な感性で再構築した「Japanese Modern Renzuru Art」シリーズの作品です。 ​This piece belongs to the "Japanese Modern Renzuru Art" series, a contemporary reinterpretation of "Hiden Senbazuru Orikata"—the world's oldest origami book, published during the Edo period. ​『輪舞28（りんぶ）』は、その名の通り、多くの鶴たちが手を取り合い、賑やかに輪になって踊る（ロンド）姿をイメージしています。 The title "輪舞28 — Rinbu 28" (meaning "Rondo") evokes the image of many cranes holding hands and dancing together in a lively circle. ​二重の輪 (Double Circles) 外周と内側の二重の円を描くように連なる鶴たち。一見、複雑に組み合わされているように見えますが、実は「たった一枚の和紙」から切り離すことなく折り上げられています。 The cranes form a striking double-layered circle. Though it appears complex, they are all folded from a single sheet of Washi paper without being separated. ​28羽の共演 (Ensemble of 28) 全部で28羽。その中には、外周に2羽、内側に1羽、群れを導くような一際大きな鶴が配されています。大小の鶴が入り混じり、リズムを刻んでいるような構成が特徴です。 A total of 28 cranes are present, including three larger ones—two on the outer ring and one in the center—that seem to lead the flock.
