【作品について / About the Work】
江戸時代（1797年）に刊行された世界最古の折り紙の専門書『秘傳千羽鶴折形』に記された技術に基づき、一枚の和紙に細かな切り込みを入れて折り上げる「連鶴（Renzuru / Connected Cranes）」 の技術にて、大1羽・小18羽の計19羽を折り上げました。
Based on the techniques recorded in the world's oldest origami book, "Hiden Senbazuru Orikata" (1797), I have folded 19 cranes (1 large and 18 small) using the "Renzuru" (Connected Cranes) method, where all cranes are folded from a single sheet of Washi paper without being separated.
タイトル「希円（きえん）」の「希」は希望を、「円」は形と繋がりを意味します。太陽のような光の下で、皆が手を取り合い、平和を願う姿を一つの円に託しました。
The title "KIEN" represents "Hope" (Ki) and "Circle/Connection" (En). It embodies a prayer for peace, imagining everyone holding hands under the warm sunlight.
