『大銀杏1（鶴岡八幡宮）』は、A4サイズの切り絵作品をデジタルデータ化した、モノクロのデジタルアートです。
紙を切り進める手のリズム、黒と白のせめぎ合い──その“手仕事の温度”を、飾りやすく扱いやすいデータとしてお届けします。

モチーフは、鶴岡八幡宮のご神木だった「大銀杏」の切り株。
倒れた後もなお、3メートルほどの巨大な切り株の一部が保存され、いまも人々の記憶と時間を支えています。
本作は、その圧倒的な質量感の一端を、A4の画面に凝縮したものです。
同じモチーフで連作も制作しており、シリーズとして蒐集する楽しみもあります。
モノクロならではの強いコントラストと、木肌・年輪・割れ目に宿る“時間の層”。
近くで見るほど細部が立ち上がり、離れて見ると大きな塊として迫る二重の鑑賞体験が生まれます。
同一モチーフをデジタルで彩色したデータも販売予定で、実物の切り絵ともデジタル彩色とも異なる表情を楽しめます。

“Great Ginkgo 1 (Tsurugaoka Hachimangu)” is a monochrome digital artwork created by digitizing an A4-size paper-cut piece.
The rhythm of the hand cutting through paper, the tension between black and white—this “warmth of handcraft” is delivered as an easy-to-display, easy-to-handle digital file.
This product is sold as a digital file only. No physical prints will be shipped.
The original paper-cut artwork is available for purchase at my solo exhibition. Please message me for details.
The motif is the stump of the “Great Ginkgo,” once a sacred ginkgo tree of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
Even after it fell, a portion of the enormous stump—nearly three meters across—has been preserved, continuing to hold the memories and passage of time for many people. This work condenses a fragment of that overwhelming presence into an A4 frame. I also create a series using the same motif, making it enjoyable to collect as a set.
With the strong contrast unique to monochrome and the “layers of time” embedded in the bark, rings, and fissures, the image offers a double viewing experience: the closer you look, the more the details rise to the surface; step back, and it presses forward as a powerful mass. A digitally colorized version based on the same motif is also planned for release, allowing you to enjoy expressions different from both the original cut-paper work and the colored digital edition.
