This mixed media art work is created with beautifully fully natural shaped wood combined with fired clay. The wood is shaped by the ocean, which surrounds me here on Ishigaki island. The strength of nature inspired me to use clay to visualise how the water shaped the wood.
The materials together can be an eye catcher in your house or office. It fits well in traditional and modern interiors and brings calmness and nature closer to oneself.
It can also be used as a flower ornament. With only one flower or leaf it can change the whole atmosphere of the piece. But it's not necessary to use flowers, only if you like it. Please use it as you like.
The clay is high fired (1250 degrees) and has a natural cream color and blue glazing to represent the ocean.
Size: 70 (l) x 35 (w) x 50 (h)
