Thank you for visiting my shop.
This is a lidded jar with handles, recreating the traditional "Hajiki" (pottery) from the Kofun period. It features unique horn-shaped handles, and the knob on the lid is inspired by the form of a "Haso" (an ancient Japanese liquid vessel) found in "Sueki" ware. This piece is primarily designed as a powerful artistic ornament and decorative display vessel to bring the romance of ancient Japan into your space.
Its defining and most captivating feature is the organic coloration, natural scorch marks, and fiery gradients born purely from the traditional open-firing technique.
※ Note on Functionality:While this vessel has been sealed (Medome) and tested twice over an open flame, allowing it to function as a traditional water-boiling pot (Mitate Chagama), ancient earthenware is highly delicate and requires advanced care. Compared to metal, it has low thermal conductivity, requires a specific knack, and takes a significant amount of time to boil water. Additionally, please be aware that this vessel does not have a pouring spout; if used for water, it must be scooped out using a ladle. Therefore, we highly recommend enjoying this masterpiece primarily as a decorative art object.
During the firing process using charcoal or firewood, the piece may develop natural color variations, ash deposits, or scorch marks. Please appreciate these unique characteristics as part of the piece's individual personality and artistic character.

Care Instructions & Notes
・Earthenware (unglazed) is fired at a lower temperature than standard ceramics. Please handle with care to avoid impact. Dropping the piece or bumping it against hard surfaces may cause it to break or chip.
・Sudden temperature changes may cause the vessel to crack. Gas stovetops produce much higher heat compared to charcoal or wood fires. When heating on a stovetop, always fill it with water first, and warm the vessel on low heat (ensuring the flame does not directly hit the bottom) for about 3 minutes before gradually increasing the heat to medium, and then slowly to a gentle high heat.
・Heating the vessel while the bottom is wet may cause it to crack. Please always wipe any water off the bottom with a dry cloth before placing it over a flame.
・Depending on your monitor or screen settings, the colors of the product may appear slightly different from the actual item.
