[One-of-a-kind item from the artist in our collection] Fantastic butterflies dancing in paradise | Museum-quality glass art jewelry
This is not a trinket.
It's a wearable piece of glass art.
Works published in specialized magazines and exhibited at Kobe Daimaru.
A completely one-of-a-kind item by an artist who has exhibited and collected in museums both domestically and internationally.
An eternal paradise sealed in a small universe
Beauty, love, leap, hope.
Butterflies have been a symbol of "transformation" and "rebirth" since ancient times.
In this work, a fantastical butterfly dancing above the fresh, sparkling water surface is expressed in ultra-fine detail.
The wings have a luminous gradation reminiscent of a Morpho butterfly.
Every time it receives light, its hue fluctuates, changing its expression as if it were alive.
Its presence exceeds that of jewelry,
A profound finish worthy of being called "sculptural jewelry."
This is not a mass-produced accessory;
It is a piece of art that can only be created in the flames.
Materials/techniques
Glass used: Murano Island, Italy
Effetre Murano (formerly Moretti)
Melt a colored glass rod with a diameter of 5 mm using a high-temperature burner.
A lampwork technique in which each lamp is created one by one while interacting with the flame.
Coincidences don't exist.
It's all about intention and technique.
The same work cannot be produced twice.

Misao Kawabata is a Japanese glass artist known for her extraordinary lampwork beads that transcend traditional round forms. By flattening the glass surface, He creates a wider pictorial space where birds and flowers of an imagined paradise come to life in delicate, storybook-like detail. Entirely self-taught and guided by an uncompromising artistic vision, her works are instantly recognizable — collectors often say they have never seen anything like them. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind glass painting in miniature, merging sculpture, color, and poetry.
