Japanese Hyakunin Isshu Framed Wall Art – Four Classical Poetry Cards

Hyakunin Isshu Framed Art – Four Illustrated Poetry Cards Hyakunin Isshu is one of Japan's greatest works of classical literature, consisting of one hundred poems written by one hundred different poets. For centuries, these poems have expressed the beauty of nature, the changing seasons, love, and human emotions. The poems are also used in Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game that has been enjoyed for generations, especially during the New Year holidays. Today, Hyakunin Isshu cards continue to be produced and cherished throughout Japan. One of the best-known manufacturers is Nintendo, which began its history as a traditional playing card company and has produced Hyakunin Isshu and Hanafuda cards for well over a century before becoming famous for video games. This artwork transforms four authentic illustrated Hyakunin Isshu cards into a refined piece of wall art. Each card is individually framed with carefully layered mat boards to create depth and elegantly showcase the vibrant colors and classic illustrations. Handcrafted by an experienced framing designer, this piece blends Japan's literary heritage with contemporary interior design, making it a unique work of Japanese art for your home or a thoughtful gift for lovers of Japanese culture.
