黒い画面の中に、白く浮かび上がる一つの瞳を描いた目玉画です。
作品名は「黒の世界の瞳」。
黒は、目玉屋にとって怖さだけの色ではなく、
音が消え、心が少し落ち着く場所でもあります。
白い線で描かれた瞳は、
月のようにも、夜の中に開いた小さな入口のようにも見えます。
暗闇に沈むのではなく、
黒の中で静かにこちらを見守っている目。
不気味さの中に、静けさと透明感を感じる一点です。
黒ケント紙にアクリル絵の具と水性色鉛筆を使用しています。
本作は、2016年に東京・高円寺のTERRAPIN STATIONで開催した個展
「eye holic―冴羽日出郎の目玉中毒」に出展したオリジナル作品です。
装飾フレーム入り。
背面に吊り紐が付いており、壁掛けに対応しています。

An original eyeball artwork featuring a single white eye floating within a deep black world.
The title of this piece is “The Eye of the Black World.”
For the artist, black is not only the color of fear. It is also a quiet place where sound fades and the mind becomes calm.
Drawn in delicate white lines, the eye may resemble a moon or a small entrance opening into the night.
Rather than sinking into darkness, it quietly watches from within it.
Eeriness, stillness, and a sense of transparency coexist in this one-of-a-kind artwork.
This piece was created by hand on black Kent paper using acrylic paint and water-soluble colored pencils.
This original artwork was exhibited at my 2016 solo exhibition, “eye holic,” held at TERRAPIN STATION in Koenji, Tokyo.
The artwork comes in a decorative frame. A hanging cord is attached to the back, allowing it to be displayed on a wall.
The artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
