淡い眼球の中央に、緑の瞳が浮かぶ目玉画です。
通称「ゾンビの緑」。
やわらかな色合いの中に、
どこか蘇ったものの気配や、
静かにこちらを見つめ返す不思議な存在感があります。
目玉屋にとって、目は怖がらせるためだけのものではなく、
そばに在り、見守ってくれるような小さなお守りのようなもの。
こちらの作品では、そんな「守り目」の気配に、
ゾンビのような不穏さと、奇妙な可愛さを重ねました。
鉛筆と水性色鉛筆で一点ずつ描いています。
淡い色彩と細かな線が、静かながらも印象に残る一点です。
本作は、2016年に東京・高円寺のTERRAPIN STATIONで開催した個展
「eye holic―冴羽日出郎の目玉中毒」に出展したオリジナル作品です。
簡易フレーム入り。
背面に吊り紐が付いており、壁掛けに対応しています。
玄関、作業机、本棚まわりなど、
日常の中に少しだけ怪しい視線を置きたい場所におすすめです。

An original eyeball artwork featuring a green iris floating at the center of a pale eye.
This piece is nicknamed “Zombie Green.”
Within its soft colors lies the unsettling presence of something revived, along with a mysterious gaze that quietly looks back at you.
For the artist, eyes are not merely frightening symbols. They are also like small protective charms that remain nearby and watch over you.
In this piece, the presence of a guardian eye is combined with a zombie-like unease and a strangely endearing quality.
This original artwork was exhibited at my 2016 solo exhibition, “eye holic,” held at TERRAPIN STATION in Koenji, Tokyo.
Each detail was drawn by hand using pencil and water-soluble colored pencils. Its pale colors and delicate lines create a quiet yet memorable impression.
Recommended for an entrance hall, workspace, bookshelf, or anywhere you would like to add a slightly uncanny gaze to everyday life.
The artwork comes in a simple frame. A hanging cord is attached to the back, allowing it to be displayed on a wall.
The artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
