An original monochrome eyeball artwork rendered in subtle shades of gray.
Rather than making a bold statement, the muted eye seems to gaze back quietly from within the frame.
For the artist, eyes are not merely frightening symbols. They can also be small guardians—quietly watching over the space around them.
Through delicate pencil lines and shading, this piece expresses a sense of silence and memories hidden deep within the eye.
The ornate black frame gives the artwork the atmosphere of an antique specimen illustration or a small mysterious portrait.
This original artwork was exhibited at my 2016 solo exhibition, “eye holic,” held at TERRAPIN STATION in Koenji, Tokyo.
Each detail was drawn by hand on Kent paper, mainly using pencil.
A hanging cord is attached to the back of the frame, allowing the artwork to be displayed on a wall.
The artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn original artwork.
Due to the artistic process and long-term storage, the paper may show tiny marks, slight color variations, or minor signs of age. These are part of the unique character of the original handmade artwork.
