運　luck

木彫りのドジョウ(ホトケドジョウ)です。 素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。 サイズは約高さ9.5cm、横幅5.5(6)cm、奥行き8cmです。(括弧内の数字はパーツを外した本体のみのサイズ) 柳の下にはドジョウがいるらしい。 自分が一番それに取り組んでいて成果を出していた頃の記憶は、まるでその期間にやっていたことを生来の性質のような、誇らしい自分の得意なものとして記憶しているようです。 だから私達は、かつて人知れず水の湧いていた湿地が駐車場になっていても、きっと明日こそは二匹目のドジョウが現れると、駐車場に生えた柳の下で待ってしまう。 物事のほとんどは、自分の力で導いたものではなくて、予測できないものも含めた複合的な要素の巡り合せで出来ている。それを私達は、運と呼んでいる。 自分で他の要素を調べて楽しむのはいいけど、成果を自分の力と信じて誰かにドジョウを取りに行かせることがないように、気をつけたいと思う。 This is a carved wooden loach (Lefua echigonia). The material is cypress, and the coloring is acrylic paint. The size is about 9.5cm high, 5.5(6)cm wide, and 8cm deep. (The numbers in parentheses are the size of the main body only without parts.) There is an idiom in Japan, "the second loach under the willow tree". It is analogous to the way a person who picks up a loach under a willow one day looks for a second loach under the willow in the hopes of picking it up again, meaning "there is no second time for good luck". It seems that the memories of when we were most engaged and successful at it, we remember what we were doing during that period as something we are proud of and good at, as if it were our innate nature. So we wait under the willows growing in the parking lot, even though the wetland that was once a quiet spring of water has been turned into a parking lot, surely tomorrow a second loach will appear. Most things are made up of a combination of factors, including unpredictable ones, rather than things that we have led by our own power. We call it luck. It's fine to investigate other factors on your own and have fun with them, but we want to be careful not to believe the results are our own and order someone else to go get the loach. ☆To prevent damage during shipping, the parts will be shipped unassembled (See the second image) . Please assemble the parts by yourself and glue them together with wood glue after arrival.
