写真集 「水のいきもの」は、2019年２月に参加した合同写真展、mishmashで私が展示した「水のいきもの」というタイトルの作品をまとめて、20部印刷したものです。2017年夏に写真展で展示したあとに作った「EXIT」に続き２作目の自主制作写真集です。初版が完売したため、2021年再印刷しました。
、、なぜ自分で写真集を作るかというと、私は自分が写真を本の形で見るのが好きなのです。
写真を始めたきっかけも、雑誌や本に載っているかっこいい写真を見るのが好きだったからで、特に１０代の時に海外のファッション雑誌に載っている写真に魅了され、東京まで電車に乗って洋雑誌買いに行くほどだったので、写真を勉強するなら海外でと本当にアメリカまで勉強しに行っちゃったくらいです。
本になっていると、いつでもどこでも何分でも写真を見ることができるし、紙の質感や匂いまでがその写真のイメージとして感じられて、自分の”もの”として体感できるのが好きです。
水のいきもの(water things)は、日常にある感情、小さな物語を、イメージとして”水”を使って表現した作品です。
The photo book "Water things" is a compilation of the works titled "Water things" that I exhibited at mishmash, a joint photography exhibition I participated in February 2019, and printed 20 copies in time for the last three days of the mishmash exhibition.
This is my second self-produced photo book, following "EXIT" which I made after my photo exhibition in the summer of 2017.
The reason why I make a photo book each time is that I like to see my photos in book form.
In a book, I can look at the photos anytime, anywhere, for as long as I want, and I can even feel the texture and smell of the paper as an image of the photo, so I like to experience it as my "own"thing.
"Water Things" is a work that uses "water" as an image to express emotions and small stories in everyday life.
