This is a slow loris carved from wood.
The material is cypress, and the coloring is acrylic paint.
I heard that slow lorises are called "shy" or "embarrassed" because of the way they hide their faces when they are found.
Since we're social animals, it seems most of us want to fix our shyness and embarrassment.
It seems to me that shyness and embarrassment are just a matter of worrying about other people's viewpoints, and in many cases, you can be rather comfortable on your own.
All of us live alone before we are in a group, so if we can live comfortably on our own, that's all that matters.
But you are free to be concerned about other people's viewpoints and want to have elements that are valued in the group, and being ashamed that you can't have what you yearn for may be the energy you need to work hard to acquire it. We are free to think what we want and how we want to live. It is not for others to evaluate us.
However, by yearning and striving to obtain an evaluation, those who are concerned about the perspectives of others will compare themselves with higher evaluations, and perhaps try to create a pecking order based on the evaluation they have obtained, or violate the rights of those who are not evaluated.
We can live without being influenced by the evaluations of others. I think we should not forget that just as we can live by our own evaluation, others are free to live how they want to live.
