Meet Zombie-chan, the youngest of the three Kubiko sisters.
With her pale bluish skin, clouded red eyes, and facial scars, she is a little unsettling yet strangely endearing.
Attach her to your keys, bag, or backpack and take her with you as your own tiny creepy-cute companion.
She is inspired by the zombies of horror films and stories.
This traditionally frightening figure has been reimagined as a small Kubiko-chan companion in the distinctive style of Medamaya.
Although she is slowly decaying, she continues to gaze back at you.
Zombie-chan carries a lingering spark of life that feels both lonely and strangely adorable.
Each piece is created using a commercially made doll head as its base. The face is individually hand-painted with acrylic paint and finished with a protective topcoat.
Kubiko-chan is an original character series created by artist Hiderou Saeba. The pieces currently available are the second-generation version, with revised details and finishing.
As each piece is painted by hand, slight variations in expression and color make every one unique.
Each piece takes approximately two to three days to complete, including hand-painting, drying, applying the protective topcoat, modifying the top of the head, and attaching the keychain hardware.
