Post card from somewhere(何処かからのポストカード）by CARMI

MayumiとグラフィックデザイナーCarlyのコラボレーションプロジェクト、CARMI（Carly ＋Mayumi)。 ２人で共同製作するZINEの第１弾です。2016年発行。 このZINEは、Mayumiの写真とCarlyのイラストを組み合わせて小さな本を作ろう！ということで制作を始めました。海で、夕日の光が水に反射してキラキラしている時刻に２人の好きなモチーフ、花と一緒に撮影をしました。 モデルはCarlyです。光がキラキラして、希望みたいな感じが写真に映ったらたらいいなと思いながら撮りました。 撮影した写真ができて、カーリーがその写真に合わせてイラストを描いたのですが、花、海の貝殻、そしてCarlyの大好きな飼い猫のAmberが登場しました。 写真とイラストをレイアウトしてから、２人で、この本は何処かから届いたはがきみたいだね、という話になって、”Postcard from Somewhere” (何処かからのポストカード）というタイトルに決めました。 誰かに届いたささやかな便りのような本になったらいいなと思います。 CARMI (Carly + Mayumi) is a collaboration project between Mayumi, a photographer, and Carly, a graphic designer. This was first zine to be produced jointly by the two. We took the photos at the beach with their favorite motif, flowers, at a time when the light of the setting sun was reflecting on the water and making it sparkle. The model was Carly. The light was sparkling, and I hoped the photos would reflect the feeling of hope. After the photos were taken, Carly drew illustrations to go with the photos, featuring flowers, sea shells, and Carly's favorite cat, Amber. After laying out the photos and illustrations, we talked about how the book would look like a postcard from somewhere, so we decided on the title "Postcard from Somewhere".
